This restaurant had a cute vibe but was also very small and didn’t feel very authentic. It was very easy to walk in and get a table even on the public holiday. The scotch fillet was nice with the brandy topping creating a beautiful crust. The pepper sauce that came with this was also very nice with a sweet initial taste before the pepper came through. However, the sirloin wasn’t cooked enough and wasn’t very flavourful. It tasted more like a pub steak than a steak restaurant meal. We only got a side of chips and salad which we don’t have much to say about other than: they were good. The wine was not nice at all, left a sour taste in the mouth and was difficult to drink at times. We only chose it as it was a New Zealand wine and we thought a Pinot Noir would be a safe bet. It wasn’t an old bottle either, just not a nice tasting wine for us. What we ordered: - Prime Ox Scotch Fillet Napoleon - Sirloin Steak Drinks: - Villa Maria Private Bin Marlborough Pinot Noir
