Casa Ristorante Italiano - Food

Italian with a harbour view, this is placed reasonably close to the IMAX, which is exactly where we were to watch Project Hail Mary before this! We can highly recommend going to see an IMAX movie then strolling down Darling Harbour and picking a place to eat. We booked here through First Table, which was quite awkward for this place as it didn't seem to be a system they had properly setup. When we arrived, they didn't seem to have our booking properly but luckily still had room for us. When we went to pay as well, we were given 3 different bills which didn't have the discount applied and it felt very awkward having to keep tell them we booked with first table. We ended up needing to move around to different places to finally pay. At least they didn't ask for a tip after all of that. Despite all of this, the service was very good and everyone was very nice. We got all of our drinks and food very quickly. The starting cocktails were very nice, the limoncello spritz a classic but still seem to be unique in a good way. The sock fairy tale cocktail was absolutely delicious, very fruity and refreshing, exactly what was needed after all that movie popcorn. The Bruschetta was an early win and was really fresh, stacked with tomatoes. We finished it off very quick but still had room for our mains. As for the pasta, despite not usually enjoying them, the linguine gamberi went down very well. Although there was chili, it gave the pasta a nice kick to it that was quite nice mixed with the prawns. The carbonara was also very nice, might've been a tad boring but it is a somewhat boring pasta so what else can be expected. We did decide that we made the wrong choice going for a white wine. Even though it was a warm day and the chill was nice, a red would have been smoother and finished off our meal with a nice taste. The Pinot Grigio ended up being very sharp. What we Ordered: Bruschetta Wood-fire Pizza Linguine Verdi Ai Gamberi Carbonara Downunder Drinks: Fairy Tale Limoncello Spritz Gabbiano ‘Cavaliere d’Oro’ Pinot Grigio

Overall Rating: Good
